Linda Lee Slacum, age 68, passed away on September 25, 2023.

Born in Connellsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Zavatchen) and Robert Shaffer. She graduated from Clarion University with her Bachelor's Degree in Library Science and she started her career in St. Michaels, Maryland, followed by 33 years as a Librarian and Media Specialist at Cherry Hill Middle School in Elkton, Maryland. In addition to being a homemaker for her three children, Linda was a dedicated member of her monthly book club, always reading and enjoyed learning of any kind. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Linda will be dearly missed by those closest to her.

Linda is survived by her husband of 44 years, Mark Slacum; her children, Carole Turi, Lauren Kohler, and Steven Slacum; her grandchildren, Coco Turi and Cleo Turi; and her surviving siblings, Patricia Hensel and William Shaffer.

A Celebration of Life will be held at their home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware on Friday October 6th, 2023. Please contact the funeral home for more details.
