Leonora A. Wallace "Lea", 84 of Wilmington passed away peacefully at Compassionate Care on Tuesday, November 28th. Mrs. Wallace was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Concetta and Vito DelGiorno. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School. Lea was a homemaker who loved being surrounded by good food and good company. She touched the lives of everyone she met and always made them laugh with her witty, sarcastic, and sometimes inappropriate sense of humor. She enjoyed shopping, doings crafts, trips to Wildwood, and meeting her core group of friends at the Claymore Senior Center. Her husband, Howard Bradford Wallace passed away in 2004. She is survived by her children, Kathy A. Harrison and Bradford A.Wallace of Wilmington and Leon J. Wallace and his wife, Lisa of Pensacola, FL; her grandchildren, Brad, Jr. (Anna), Justin, Kristi Bahgat (Sherif), Jordan, Lauren and Amanda and her great-grandchildren, Lyla and Zane, Scarlett and Grace; and many other friends and family who have supported her and cared for her over the years. Friends may call at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington on Monday morning after 11 AM. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington.
