Lenore Marie Dauphin, age 81, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on January 29th, 2025. Born in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Lenoir) and Anthony Van Veen. Lenore graduated from Ursuline Academy and Misericordia University. She went on to serve in social work for over 40 years for Catholic Charities in Wilmington, DE until her retirement. Lenore enjoyed visiting the Jersey Shore and Rehoboth Beach and took great care in her home and garden. She was a longtime, devoted parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption in Hockessin. Most importantly, she cherished the time spent with her family.

Lenore is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Megan Dauphin; her grandson, Aiden Dauphin; and her brother, Karl Van Veen.

A visitation will be held on Thursday February 6th from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11 A.M. at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Catholic Charities, 2601 W 4th Street Wilmington, DE 19805.
