Laurie A. Wylam, age 55, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 15th, 2023.

Born in Washington D.C., Laurie was the daughter of the late Laurabelle (Deputy) and Paul Edward Hubbs. She graduated from Del Castle Technical High School and went on to work for Ricoh Business Systems for 15 years, and most recently as an After Market Representative for Toyota Lift. Most importantly, Laurie was a homemaker for her three children. She enjoyed spending her free time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Laurie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Robert John Wylam; her children, Jessica Wylam of Plymouth Meeting, PA, Ryan Block of Hockessin, and Sean Wylam of Newark; her grandchildren, Terasan Zink, Layla Santiago, and Jacob Block; and her brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Jody Hubbs of Northeast, MD.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28th, 2023 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 11 A.M at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Helen Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown Stanton Rd, Newark, DE 19713.
