Kathleen M. Taves, 95 of Hockessin passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Cokesbury Village.

Kathleen was born in Cardiff, Wales 1927. She came over by ship to the United States in 1946 with 1200 WWII War Brides after marrying her first husband Kenneth Phelps.

She was a homemaker and predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth Phelps in 1981; her second husband, Milton Taves in 2013; her son, Anthony O. "Tony" Phelps, her step-son Phil Paulson and her brothers, David and Andrew Davies and parents, Andrew and Laticia Davies.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jeff Chambers of Elkton, MD; her sons and their spouses, David and Kathy Phelps of Earleville, MD and Richard Phelps and Diane Frey of Midlothian, VA; her daughter-in-law, Kathy Phelps of Wilmington; her stepchildren, Donald Taves and his wife, Cathy of Denver, CO and Shan Paulson of Vancouver, Canada; her 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
