Kathleen A. "Kathy" Collins, age 62, of Newark, DE passed away at home on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

Kathy was born April 2, 1963, in Somerville, NJ, daughter of the late Theresa and Edward J. Nagle. Kathy graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1981. Kathy was a secretary, care giver for several group homes, Cat Adoption Coordinator for a local animal shelter, and a Customer Service Representative for the U.S. Department of Treasury. Kathy retired from the Department of Treasury in December 2024. In her retirement, she enjoyed crafting, reading, bird watching, and being an advocate for her friends with medical needs.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, John J. Collins IV; brother, Edward Nagle and his wife Suzanne Solberg Nagle; sister, Anne Hassidim; predeceased by her brother Richard Nagle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends whom she all loved.

Funeral services for Kathy will be held privately.

Kathy had a soft spot for all animals and was an advocate for animal rights. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Kathy's name to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd, Kanab, UT 84741 (bestfriends.org).
