On Thursday, January 5, 2023, Kathleen "Cathy" Perry, loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 78.

Cathy was born July 19, 1944 in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, PA to Augustus and Grace (Garvey) Reichner. She graduated from Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School in 1962. On May 18, 1968, she married Frank J. Perry, Jr. They settled in Delaware in 1968 where they raised three sons, Michael, Anthony and Kenneth.

Cathy happily devoted her life to caring for her husband and sons. She was the ultimate homemaker. She was always willing to volunteer her time as 'Team Mom', Sunday School teacher or organizer of company dinners for Franks' coworkers. She loved to host large holiday gatherings at their home in Hockessin, so much so that she would frequently borrow extra tables and chairs from her parish, St. Mary of the Assumption in order to accommodate the lengthy guest list.

After their sons graduated and moved on, Cathy enjoyed dividing time between homes. She spent many cold winters in sunny Boynton Beach, FL and summer months in Fenwick Island, DE. with Frank. And no matter the location, Cathy continued her hosting, whether it be reunions or family events, there was always enough food and plenty of room!

She is survived by her husband Frank, her three children, Michael (Elizabeth Poli), Anthony, and Kenneth and her grandchildren, Kayleigh Marie, Sadie Grace and Matthew Francis. She is also survived by her sister Grace Marie (Bud Schenkel). Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Augustus, her mother, Grace and her brother Ron.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707 on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM.
