Karen Jane Smith, 70 of Wilmington passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Christiana Hospital.

Karen was born in Elkton, MD the daughter of the late Rose (Pinis) and Benjamin F. Paris. She retired in 2019 after 15 years with DART in customer sevice. Prior to that, Karen worked as a laboratory technician for the DuPont Company. In addition to her parents, Karen was predeceased by her brothers, Benjamin Paris, Jr. and Mark Paris.

Karen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Michael Ciliberti of Wilmington and their son, Dominic; her son, Richard J. Turnbull, Jr. of Elkton, MD and her sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Joel Blachly of Elkton, MD.
