June E. Weldin, age 85, of Newark, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 15, 2022.

June was born in Mont Clare, PA, the late daughter of Margaret (Hood) and John Stark. She graduated from St Elizabeth's High School and went on to become a home maker to raise her family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking. In her free time, she loved to read and spend time with her family. In addition to her parents, June was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert Weldin Sr.; son, Robert Weldin Jr.; and sister, Joan Minner.

June is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Brian) Cometa; grandchildren, Diana Myers, William Myers, Amanda Weldin, and Doug Weldin; great grandchildren, Aiden Suib, Addison Myers, Charles Myers, and Gianna Myers; daughter in law, Carol Weldin, and close family friends.

A visitation for June will take place on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808 where friends and family may call from 10 to 11 AM with a service following at 11 AM. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations in June's name to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
