Julia Mary Person, age 94 of Hockessin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital.

Julia was born in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of the late Catharine (Post) and John Curtin. A 1948 graduate of Little Flower High School for Girls, she studied nursing and lab technology and worked in the medical field for many years. Julia was a certified histologist for the State of Delaware in the Chief Medical Examiner's Office from which she retired in 1995. She was a member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church for 63 years. In addition to her parents, Julia was predeceased by her husband Andrew L. Person in 1988 and her sister and brothers, Dolores Connelly, Philip and Robert Goldman.

Julia is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Jean and Arturo Agra of Hockessin and Renee and Michael Bolen of Wilmington; her sons, Andrew C. Person of Newark and Michael R. Person and his wife, Penny of Wilmington; her granddaughters, Emily and Sarah Bolen, Andrea Agra (Valerie), Maria Agra and Caitlyn Ferranto (Jake); her great-grandchildren, Stephen Bolen and Evanora Agra. She is also survived by her dear cousin, Sr. Theresa Curtin, OSF and many nieces and nephews.

Julia lived independently at Cokesbury Village in Hockessin where she was known for her lively spirit. The family wishes to thank the staff at Willow Brook Court who cared for her during her illness.

Friends and family may visit at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
