Judy Carol Stewart, age 71, of Hockessin, DE, passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital on Thursday, January 28, 2016 surrounded by her family.Born in Butler, PA, Judy was the daughter of the late Verness Morter and Florence Fair. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Daniel Baranski. She was a 1963 graduate of Dickenson High School. For 13 years, she worked as a CRIS Analyst for CIGNA, and then was employed by Delaware Park for 10 years in the accounting department. Her hobbies included sewing and embroidery. Judy will be dearly missed by her husband of 51 years, David A. Stewart, Sr.; her daughters, Patricia Stewart-Flaherty and her husband Wayne of San Diego, CA and Diana L. Stewart of Hockessin, DE; her son, David A. Stewart, Jr. and his wife, Maria of Newark, DE; five grandchildren, Daniel, Brittany Michael, Kristiana and Sean; and great grandson, Colton. Also surviving is her sister, Grace Sapar in South Carolina. Friends and family are invited to visitation beginning at 9 AM on Wednesday, February 3rd at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington where funeral services will begin at 11 AM. Burial will be private.
