Joyce E. Netta, age 74 of Newark, DE passed away on January 28th, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, Joyce was the daughter of the late Catherine (Kenney) and Joseph J. Netta. She was a member of the 1967 graduating class of Corpus Christi High School, where she was active in theater, art, and entertainment. Joyce was a member of the band, Triple Play, that was popular during the 70s and 80s, and was well known as 'Joyce the Voice'. She had a boat at Hacks Point on the Bohemia River for 25 years and cherished her boating family. Joyce loved vacationing in Bermuda, having visited over 30 times in her life. Professionally, Joyce worked in healthcare administration in several different medical offices over the years.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph J. Netta, Jr.; her sister, Lorraine Netta Scheib; and her brother-in-law, Jim Morrow.

She is survived by her siblings, Larry and Sherry Netta, Michael and Jen Netta, and Marianne Morrow; her sister-in-law, Kathy Netta; her brother-in-law, Sam Scheib; her lifelong friend, Debbie Ryan; her godson, Tim Farley; her goddaughter, Alison Thomas; her boat dog Chelsea; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Family and friends will hold an open house on Saturday, February 10th 2024 at Safe Harbor Bohemia Vista, 140 Bohemia Vista Marina Rd, Chesapeake City, MD 21915, where friends may visit at their convenience between 12pm and 4pm. Burial will be held privately for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
