Joyce F. Baumann , age 93, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on February 20th, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clementine (Caruthers) and Frank Jackala. She graduated from high school in Brooklyn and settled in Wilmington, Delaware with her son, Joseph Baumann. She spent her career working in customer service in Finance Services at Discover Card. Joyce loved the arts and taught calligraphy at Christiana High School. She enjoyed volunteering for over 20 years at Newark Senior Center and their flea market.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Joseph M. Baumann; and her siblings, Frank Jackala, Joan Ogden, Edward Jackala, and Charles Jackala. She is survived by her son, Joseph Baumann (Elizabeth); and her siblings, Dorothy Oldenberg, Charlotte Cinque, Albert Jackala (Sarah), Catherine Jackala, and Richard Jackala.

Funeral services will be held privately.
