Joseph W. Tomkiewicz Jr., age 75, of Wilmington, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

Joseph was born in Wilmington, son of the late Frances M. (Buccareli) and Joseph W. Tomkiewicz Sr. Joseph graduated from the Salesianum School and attended Goldey Beacom. Joseph went on to become a brakeman and a traffic controller for the railroad, and also worked in the boiler room at Sun Oil until his retirement. Joseph loved music and was a drummer in his younger years. In his free time, Joseph enjoyed going to the beach, especially Fenwick Island and Ocean City, MD, and spending time with his family, friends, and his dog, Shadow. In addition to his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his daughter, Amy Tomkiewicz.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Victoria Tomkiewicz; daughter, Marissa Tomkiewicz; granddaughter, Madalyn Gallagher; canine companion, Shadow; and numerous close family friends.

Funeral services will be held privately.
