Joseph M. Peronti, Sr., age 67, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2022.  Born in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late Pasqualina "Esther" (Morganti) and Domenick Peronti.

Joe worked as a firefighter for the City of Wilmington, and as a roofer, among various occupations. He enjoyed horse racing, playing cards, dinner with his friends, sports weekends, but above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 45 years, Alberta (Giannone) Peronti; his children and their spouses, Andrea and Brian Panico and Joseph M., Jr. and Megan Peronti; his grandchildren, Madison, Dante, Vincent, Mia, Hadley, Stella, Lily, and Tessa; his siblings, John (Sue), Dominick (Cheryl), Bettina, James (Lynne), Susan Amato, and David; and his brothers-in-law, Francis (Maura) Giannone & Louis Giannone; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 5-8 PM at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Clayton and Cedar Streets, Wilmington, DE 19805.
