John Navitsky, age 86, of Wilmington, DE passed away on August 4th, 2018. Born in Girardville PA, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Zuber) Navitsky. John served in the United States Air Force, retired as a Master Sergeant and was a member of the American Vets, Air Force Sergeants Association, and the Air Force Association. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Wilmington College and worked as a construction manager prior to his retirement. In addition, he formed Aries, Inc., an engineering company and AircraftArtPlus, a military memorabilia company. He was also a former member of St. John the Beloved Church and the EWTN.John was predeceased by his sister, Evelyn Piatkowski. John is survived by his wife of 65 years, Roseanne (Kaminski) Navitsky; his son, Robert (Michelle Gomba) of Wilmington, DE; his daughters, Evelyn Mitchell (Wade Hirsch) of Camden, DE, Katharine N. Ronan (John Ronan) of Wilmington, DE and JoAnne Schmeiser (Paul Schmeiser) of Milford, DE; his grandchildren, Julie, Curtis Jr., Rebecca, and Rachel; and his great grandchildren, Kenlie and Curtis III.A visitation will be held on Thursday August 9th, 2018 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM with funeral services beginning at 11:30 AM at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to your favorite charity (military veterans if possible) in John's name.
