John Edward McVeigh III, age 71, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from Parkinson's disease.

He was the son of the late Theresa (Biebel) McVeigh Waski and John Edward McVeigh II. John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Deborah Lynn McVeigh; his daughter, Tara Lynn McVeigh; his sisters, Cynthia Roper and Maureen McVeigh and their families; his sister-in-law, Cynthia McGrellis and her children, Adrienne McGrellis, Alex McGrellis and their families; his sister-in-law, Laura and husband, Kennith Quesenberry and their son, Kenny and his family; and his brother-in-law, William I. Smith.

John loved the beach, was an excellent swimmer and encouraged his young daughter and her cousins to love the ocean. He and Debbie saw all the major rock concerts; he had a quick smile and liked to wear shorts and flip-flops even in the colder months.

John worked in the building trades and began his career as a surveyor which led to supervisory positions. He will be missed by his family and friends.
