John Joseph Marra, age 65, of Hockessin, DE passed away on September 6, 2025 following a motorcycle accident.

Born in Wilmington on May 28, 1960, John was the son of Geraldine (McVey) and the late Joseph Marra. He graduated from John Dickinson High School and worked as a millwright.

John had a lifelong passion for motorcycles. Whether riding solo or with friends, he found freedom and joy on the open road. He loved his Harley Davidsons and his German Shepards, Ozzy and Harley. He enjoyed watching and cheering on his favorite teams in football, basketball and baseball.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Kelly Lee Campbell; by his father, Joseph Marra; and his brother-in-law, Donnie Piegalski. John is survived by his mother, Geraldine Marra; his siblings, Kelly Conner (Patrick), Sheila Piegalski (Donnie), Tommy Marra (Theresa), and Nancy Crosley (Neal); his stepdaughter, Breanne Nichole Hendrix; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Sunday September 14th from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M., with funeral services to begin at 12:15 P.M. at the Mealey Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a charity of your choice.
