Joanne Pheris lost her three year long courageous battle with cancer Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Seasons Hospice in Newark, Delaware. She was surrounded by family and friends.Joanne was a wonderful chef, skilled garment and pattern maker and caring gardener but her greatest joy was being Julie's mom. Her ashes will rest in the ocean off the coast of Hawaii where she was married and spent many vacations.She is survived by her husband, Rob Pheris, daughter, Julie Pheris, mother, Anne Gotwals and brother, Richard Gotwals. In lieu of flowers, Joanne and her family would prefer donations to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, 100 W 10th St #209, Wilmington, DE 19801.
