Age 65, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Seasons Hospice surrounded by her family.Born in Wilmington, DE, JoAnne was the daughter of Theodore "Ted" Olkowski and the late Margaret (Quill) Olkowski. She worked as a court clerk in Newport for several years. Her hobbies included reading and studying foreign languages, especially Spanish.She is survived by her father, Theodore "Ted" Olkowski; her children, Hannah, Nick (Sharon), Michael, and Angel; her grandchildren, Josue, Alberto, Matthew, Sydney, Nolan, Jeremiah and Michael. Also surviving are her brothers, Mark, Teddy and Michael.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30th at 10 AM at Mealey Funeral Home, 703 North Broom Street, Wilmington. Burial will be private.
