Jessica Lee Ruff, 46, of Wilmington passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 21, 2018.Jessica was born in Wilmington, the daughter of Christine (Windsor) Dougherty and Joseph T. Ruff. She worked as a waitress at Mrs. Robino's Restaurant. Jessica was known for her outgoing personality and friendliness and would easily talk with anyone. These characteristics made her an excellent waitress and good conversationalist.Jessica is survived by her son, Joshua S. Ruff of Wilmington; her father and stepmother, Joseph and Deborah Ruff of Townsend; her mother and stepfather, Christine and Charles Dougherty of Wilmington; her siblings, Joseph B. Ruff of Wilmington, Patrick T. Ruff (and wife, Jenny Wang) of New York City, Sarah E. Ruff of Baltimore, Philip M. Ruff (and wife, Ashley) of Wilmington, Jacqueline Dougherty, Charles Dougherty Jr. (and wife, Michelle), Timothy Dougherty, and Michael Dougherty, all of Wilmington; her niece Camryn Dougherty; her nephew, Logan Ruff; her son's father, Chuck Slavin of Elsmere; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 11 AM at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, where friends may visit after 10 AM.
