Obituary

Jean V. Robinson of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on November 6, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas O. Robinson and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for family shaped every part of her life.

Jean is survived by her children David Verchick (Cherry), Scott Verchick, Clark Verchick (Ann), and Wendy Rumpf. She was the proud grandmother of Kyle Verchick, Sean Verchick (Brittney), Jeremy Verchick (Jessica), Samantha Bosari (Evan), and Taylor Reaume (Kyle), and the adoring great-grandmother of Mason, Lennon, Beau, Aaron, and Kenni.

Jean built a long and dedicated career as a stenographer, working for Bechtel Engineering Company before joining DuPont's Edgemoor site, where she worked for many years until her retirement in 1995. She was known for her sharp mind, professionalism, and warm rapport with colleagues.

Outside of work, Jean found joy in life's simple pleasures—especially shopping excursions and cruising around in her Volkswagen Beetle. She was an avid supporter of her grandchildren's activities, rarely missing a game, recital, concert, or competition. Her familiar place was in the bleachers or the audience, cheering proudly. In recent years, she continued that tradition with her great-grandchildren, keeping up with each milestone and accomplishment with love and enthusiasm.

Jean lived a life rooted in family, loyalty, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved her.

Interment will be private.
