Age 88, Bethany Beach, formerly of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at her home.Born in Wilmington on September 25, 1926, Jean was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Burns) Walsh. She retired from the Blood Bank of Delaware, Newark. She had a great sense of humor and always lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at the beach. Jean was preceded in death by her husband John H. Foote in 2001. She will be dearly missed by her children, John E. Foote of Chester Springs, PA and Ann Caggiano and her husband John of Middletown, DE, along with their children, Katie and Michael. She was also survived by her siblings, Audrey Records of Wilmington, DE and John Walsh, Jr. and his wife Gloria of Wilmington, along with nephew John Walsh III.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 17 at 10:30 AM at St. Matthew's Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE 19804. Friends and family are invited to visitation on Friday evening between 6 and 8 PM at Mealey Funeral Homes, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 and on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
