Jean Marie Clements, age 70, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on March 20, 2023.

Born in Media, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nancy E. (Shortlidge) and Robert E. Anderson, Sr. She graduated from Sun Valley High School and worked as a buyer for Environmental Tectonics Corporation. Jean enjoyed working for the family business, A to Z Resale, spending time with family, playing with her nephew and great grandkids. She also enjoyed gambling and going to the casino. A little wild around the edges, Jean was a true tomboy.

In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Anderson Jr. and John Anderson. Jean is survived by her daughter, Michele Nichols (Billy); grandchildren, Christopher Bieller (Sandy Lam), Brennan Nichols (Mackenzie Bartlett), Danielle Nichols (Katrina Conner), and Douglas Phillips; great-grandchildren, Christopher Bieller, Jr. (aka Buddha Baby), and Karli Armstrong; nephew, John Michael Anderson; brother, William Anderson, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Lynne Anderson.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 followed by a service at 12:00PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christiana Care Helen Graham Center, 4701 Ogletown Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19713. In honor of Jean's bright and uplifting spirit, the family asks that guests wear bright colors for her service.
