Janet Louise Kulick, age 74, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016.Born in Highland Park, MI, Jan was the daughter of the late Frank and Cora (Zisler) Kulick. After graduating from Newark High School, she entered the United States Marine Corps. She served her country honorably for over seven years during the Vietnam War era, achieving the rank of Sergeant and earning the National Defense Service Medal and two Good Conduct medals. Following her service, she settled in the Washington DC metropolitan area where she worked for the Association of American Law Schools as a program director. After a fulfilling career, she retired and later returned to Newark. Jan enjoyed travel, nature and watching classic TV sitcoms.She was predeceased by her beloved Jean Holland Walker in 2013 and her siblings, Frances A. Vick, William J. Kulick, Evelyn M. Richard, Helen C. Frieschmidt and Marie C. Tuneff.Jan will be sadly missed by her sister, Ruth Ann Bowles of Newark, Delaware and brother, Frank E. Kulick of Caloundra, Queensland, Australia, along with her many relatives and friends.Inurnment service with military honors will be conducted at Arlington National Cemetery. Family, friends and colleagues are welcome to meet at the cemetery Administration Building on March 22, 2017 at 10:30. Ms. Kulick's service will be followed by inurnment of her companion, Jean Walker at 12:30, also with honors at Arlington National Cemetery."
