Janet L. Ashton, age 81, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18th, 2023.

Janet was born in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Marcelene (McMonigle) and John Miller. She graduated high school and was a homemaker for her three children. Janet was an amazing artist and loved painting. She was a fan of arts and crafts, crossword puzzles, and scrabble. Janet also enjoyed traveling and had the amazing opportunity to visit Spain. Above all else, she was an amazing mother and grandmother, and she will be missed dearly by those who were closest to her.

In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased by her husband, James Ashton, and her son, John Ashton. Janet is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Malaszecki of Wilmington, DE; son James Ashton (Susan) of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Samantha, Justin, Brian James, Jillian, and James; sister, Marie Ricigliano; nieces, Toni Marie and Kristi; and her dear cousin Charolotte.

Funeral services will be held privately.
