Jane M. Murray, age 92, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2024.

Born in Poteau, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Lillian (Tidquist) and H.B. Marshall.  She grew up in Nitro, WV during the Great Depression Era.  She moved with her family to Kennett Square, PA and eventually moved to Wilmington, DE. Jane attended Marshall University and graduated from the Delaware Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She went on to work at Delaware Health and Social Services and helped develop and operate the Psychiatric Day Hospital at Wilmington General, in addition to being a homemaker for her four children. Jane loved visiting the mountains of West Virginia and enjoyed trips to Slaughter Beach with her family. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her husband, Robert Murray in 1976 and her sister, Mae Persinger. She is survived by her children, Lance Murray, Lora Paternoster (Dennis Cole), Leigh Ann Woodin, and Leith Murray (Jacqulyn "Lynn"); her grandchildren, Jeremy Woodin, Abigail Long, and Austin Murray; and her great grandchildren, Parker Rose, Piper Jane, Hayden, and Brynn.

A visitation will be held at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808, on Saturday June 22nd from 9:30 A.M to 10:30 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
