James Edwin Tucker, Sr. "Ed", 60 of Middletown passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Ed was born in Milford, the son of the late Ella (Henderson) and Horace Tucker.  He graduated from Lake Forest High School and Delaware State University.  Ed retired from the U.S. Postal Service at Hares Corner after 37 years.  He served as a union representative and was a member of Calvary Assembly of God in Dover.

Ed is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dianne R. (Bernard) Tucker; his son, James E. Tucker, Jr. and his wife, Emily of Wilmington; his sisters, Thelma Ardis and her husband, Grant of Salisbury, MD, Frances Foland of Rothschild, WI and Sheryl Tucker of Smyrna; Diane's parents, Ellen and Ron Bernard of East Fallowfield, PA; his sisters-in-law and their husbands, Rhonda and Rick Bowden of East Fallowfield, PA and Cindy and Nick Bruni of Ridley Park, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to Good News Church, 957 Old Lancaster Pike Hockessin, DE 19707.
