Obituary

James F. Reilly, age 80, of Wilmington, DE passed away surrounded by his family on June 8th, 2023. Jim was born in Upland, PA, to the late Janet (Carey) and Bernard Reilly. At Ridley Park High School he was an avid runner and basketball player and upon graduation proudly went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps. Following his honorable discharge, he completed his apprenticeship to become a Steamfitter and was a loyal and proud member of Steamfitters Local Union No. 420. After retirement, Jim enjoyed Steamfitters Retiree luncheons with his lifelong friends and fellow "fitters".  Jim was an avid animal lover and adored spending time walking his "best girl", Maisie, and loved visits to the shore with his close friends and family. He was loved by everyone he met and will be dearly missed by those closest to him.

James is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Jacquelyn (Osborne) Reilly; his children and their families, James "Jim" and Rachel Reilly, Scott and Ranee Reilly, and Tricia and Bill Freitag; his stepdaughters, Andrea Zimmerman, and Jill Zimmerman; as well as his cherished grandchildren, and great grandchild; his siblings, Bernard Reilly, Joseph Reilly, Marian Garrity, and Anne Pisani and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
