"Whipper"Age 54, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Seasons Hospice surrounded by his family.Born in Wilmington, Whipper was the son of the late William and Dorothy (Lucas) Perillo. He was preceded in death by his brother, John, and his sister, Linda Hill. He was a 1978 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School and worked at the Port of Wilmington. Whipper was truly one of a kind who left an impression on people that will last a lifetime. He loved to be with family and friends and especially enjoyed watching his nieces and nephews play sports.He is survived by his brother, Billy (Leigh) and their children, Jason, Justin and Kelly; his sisters, Beth (Michael Rizzo) and their daughter, Lauren; Patty (Lisa Speas), Mary Ann (Ed Kim) and their son, Taylor, and Dottie (Blair Brownell). Also surviving is his dearest cousin, Robbie Valera, and sister-in-law, Jane Perillo.Friends and family are invited to visitation on Tuesday, March 24th, between 6 and 8 PM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 25th, at 10:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2505 Centerville Road, Wilmington.
