Obituary

James Dillon Napier, age 102, of Wilmington, DE passed away on November 14th, 2024. Born in Haskell, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Nora (Wilson) and John Hampton Napier. James enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1943 and served his country honorably during World War II. He was stationed in the Philippines and was a member of the Battle of Peleliu and Battle of Okinawa. Following his discharge, James spent his career working as an Insurance Adjustor in the Midwest, U.S. Following retirement, he settled in Wilmington, Delaware.

In addition to his parents, James is predeceased by his son, Joel Napier; and his siblings, Mary Wilson, Adelaide Black, and John Napier. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James "Jim" and Linda Napier; his daughter-in-law, Gaye Napier; his grandchildren, Tina and Tara; and his great grandchildren, Jade and Jazmin.

A chapel service will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE at 10 A.M. on Wednesday November 27th.
