James F. King, Jr., "Jimi", age 67, of Newark, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a brief illness on January 12, 2020. Born in Wilmington, Jimi was the son of the late Marie (Falin) and James F. King, Sr. Jimi graduated from Christiana High School and went on to own and operate his own refrigerator repair company, Accurate Refrigerator Service, for the course of his career. He loved to spend time at the beach, fishing, crabbing, and had a passion for baseball. In addition to his parents, Jimi was predeceased by his half-brother, Raymond Houck. Jimi is survived by his wife of 46 years, Christine (Gotto) King; his brother, Lester King and his wife, Emme; and two half-sisters; his sister-in-law, Joyce Gotto; six nieces and nephews and four great nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family. A visitation will be held on Monday January 20, 2020 from 10 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 11:30 A.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Seasons Hospice at the seasonsfoundation.org.
