James B. Frick, Jr., "Jim", age 71, of Newark, DE passed away on May 25th, 2023. Born in Leesville, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Magdalen (Engle) and James B. Frick, Sr. Jim spent time working in many different capacities, including as a bookkeeper, real estate agent, driver for the elderly, and homemaker for his son. Jim was the founder of the RPP, or Real Philly Phanz, group. He developed many close friendships over the course of the last decade through RPP. In addition, Jim enjoyed gardening and was known to many as "Farmer Jim" due to the heirloom tomatoes he would grow and distribute every year for decades.

Jim is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cynthia Frick; his son, Christopher Ryan Frick; his brother, Robert Frick (Kim); his sisters, Diane Mummert (Steve) and Joan Redman (Denny); his nephew, Connor Frick; and a host of dear friends and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Sunday June 4th from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. An additional visitation will be held on Monday June 5th from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707, with A Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to American Cancer Society.
