James Wesley Edwards, age 71, of Claymont, DE, passed away on August 7, 2025.

James was born in Imperial, CA to Virley Helen (Frost) and Furman Leon Edwards. He graduated from high school and joined the United States Army before pursuing a career in transportation as a truck driver. He enjoyed going to the casino and watching NCIS and football. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, James is predeceased by his brother Ronnie, and sister Vicky. He is survived by his daughters: Lisa Hurst (Brian) and Dreama Marie Dunn (Gary); stepdaughter, Kim Purvis (Chris); grandchildren, Alexis, Billy (Gabby), Josh, Brittney, Savannah, and Rachael; brother, Ricky; and his best friend who he lived with, Kathy Gibbons and their dog, Katie.

Funeral services will be held privately.
