James R. Crossan, age 71, of Wilmington, DE, sadly left us too soon Wednesday, September 10, 2025, to join the Lord.

James was born in Wilmington, the son of the late Doris (Todd) and James J. Crossan. He was a graduate of Salesianum high chool, worked at Wilmington country club into retirement, and a Delaware native. Jim was a caring brother, loving father, doting grandfather, and the kindest friend to many.  He enjoyed a good Phillies game, visits to Key West, FL, spending time with family, and chatting with friends at Comegys pub. He could always make you laugh with entertaining facts and tales from the past. There was no fear in wearing the best Phillies and Eagles T-shirts to even the toughest Yankees or Cowboys turf.

He is survived by his sister, Jane Reinbold; nephew, Brian Reinbold; daughter, Kim Halkopoulos; and grandson Ilias Halkopoulos.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 11 A.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial to follow in Silverbrook Cemetery.
