James J. Brown, age 73, of Wilmington, DE, passed away with family by his side on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

James was born to the late Teresa (Duffy) and Joseph Brown. He began working at the U.S. Postal Service at 18 years old spent over 40 years working as a mail carrier, prior to his retirement at age 62. Jimmy was a parishioner of Christ Our King, and he furthered his education at a Catholic Seminary with priests in Blackwood, NJ. James was a fan of concerts but most importantly, the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.

James is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Pat and Bill Stryzs, Carl Brown, Jean and Michael Dougherty, and Mary Ellen and Chris Gray; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Funeral services were held privately.
