Age 75, of Landenberg, PA, died peacefully at home on July 22, 2017. She was born July 5, 1942. Her parents, John E. and Gladys (Teague) Sylvanus, predeceased her. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1960, attended Virginia Intermont College and graduated from Goldey Beacom College. She worked for the DuPont Company in Textile Fibers, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceuticals, retiring in 2000.She is survived by her husband, Frederick Clemens; her children, Jennifer Clemens (Frank Madonna) of Wilmington, DE, Tony Clemens and daughter-in-law, Chiara Clemens of Avondale, PA; and her grandchildren, Anthony Madonna, Cade Reisenauer and Natalia Reisenauer.Jacqui was a friend to all and never met a stranger. She loved spending time with family and friends, particularly her Harrogate neighbors. During her life, she traveled to many vacation destinations, but she particularly loved annual trips to Aruba and Bethany Beach. She had a fondness for animals, particularly dogs and did volunteer work with service dogs. She touched many people's lives and will be remembered as a kind, loving soul.Friends and family are invited to visitation on Saturday, July 29th after 1 PM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington where funeral services will begin at 2 PM.
