Jacqueline Jeannine Denzler (Johnson), age 86, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born in Waynesboro, VA, she was the daughter of the late Everetta Pearson (Boyd) and Russell Johnson. Jeannine graduated from Yorktown High School in 1957. She then attended Louise Obici School of Nursing and graduated in 1960. While attending nursing school, she met the love of her life, Paul R. Denzler, and they were married on January 7, 1961.

In addition to her parents, Jeannine is predeceased by her loving husband, Paul, and her brothers, Russell E. Johnson and David S. Johnson. She is survived by her brother, John E. Pearson; children and their spouses, Sharold Fassold (Vincent Tolson), Diane Denzler (James Bender), Michael Denzler and Karen Bargelski (Daniel); grandchildren, Stephanie Taylor, Andrew Deskiewicz, Sydney Serra and Elise Denzler; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jonathan James and Nicholas Taylor.

A visitation will be held at St. Philips Lutheran Church, 5320 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Funeral services to begin at 11:30 A.M. Burial will be held privately at Bushnell National Cemetery at a later date.
