On October 12, 2024, Irena Wicinski, age 69, passed away peacefully at Wilmington Hospital with her family at her side.

Irena was born in Manville, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Lucian and Ursula Wicinski. Irena resided in Manville for 33 years before moving to Newark, Delaware in 1988. Irena worked as a hairstylist for 50 years in both New Jersey and Delaware and had recently retired in August 2024. Irena's many hair clients stayed true to her over the years and some became close friends with Irene and treated her like family.

Irena loved to travel and the photos she took during her trips showcased her talent as a photographer. Irena also enjoyed hosting family get togethers and her cooking and baking skills always took center stage. Irena loved her family and her family loved her. She will be greatly missed but we will always hold her memory in our hearts.

Irena is survived by her brother Richard Wicinski of Newark, DE; sister Krystyna Wicinski of Claymont, DE; sister Laura Sauri of Gaithersburg, MD; brother-in-law Dr. Michael Sauri also of Gaithersburg; and her nephew Adam Sauri of Washington, DC
