Howard William Buckingham, age 89, of Wilmington, DE passed away on September 13, 2025. Born in New York, New York, he was the son of the late Howard and Grace (Stead) Buckingham. Howard spent his career working in the auto industry as an auto parts manager. During his retirement, he found great joy in driving a bus for seniors in his local area of Pleasantville, New York. Howard also enjoyed boating on the Hudson River and road trips far and wide with his wife, Diane.

Howard is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diane Buckingham; his children, William Buckingham (Danielle) and Hillary Grace Buckingham (Michael Haag); and his granddaughter, Riley.

A visitation will be held at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE on Thursday September 18th from 12 P.M. to 2P.M. with Words of Remembrance to to begin at 2 P.M. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Food Bank of Delaware, 222 Lake Dr, Newark, DE 19702.
