Helen Skripchuk, 96, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 4. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Leon. She is survived by her children, Eva, Annemarie (Mark) and James (Jennifer); her beloved grandsons, Casey, Jesse, James Jr. and Jacob; and her sister Ann and niece Kathie.

Helen was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and graduated from Battin High School. She was an active member of St. John the Beloved Church and the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. Helen enjoyed reading, sewing, camping the U.S., and traveling the world. She also loved visiting New York City for shows and shopping.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Delaware Hospice, especially Beverly, and for their mother's caregivers - Janice, Ishella, Hyacinth, and Trudy - whose expertise and kindness were a blessing beyond measure.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at St John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm. Private burial will be at a later date.
