Harold Elleen, 91, of Hockessin, DE, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

Harold was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Matilda and Abraham Elleen. He graduated from Rutgers University and served his country in the U.S. Army. He raised his family in Morristown, NJ.

Harold spent over thirty years in financial management and planning including service with Price Waterhouse and as Chief Financial Officer of Royal Doulton USA, Inc. After retirement, he became a Certified Financial Planner.

He enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and was an avid tennis player and golfer. He was most proud of his Hole-In-One on the 4th hole of the Greenbriar Golf Course. He loved animals, especially dogs, had a wonderful sense of humor and was a talented story teller. He was an active volunteer in his community and in his synagogue.

Harold was predeceased by Phyllis, his beloved wife of 66 years. He is survived by his daughters and their husbands, Robyn and Robert Fields, Judy Elleen-Smith and Neil Smith, Jennifer and Scott Chottiner; his grandchildren, Michael Fields (Sungwon), Alexa and Stephanie Fields, Brandon Smith, Justin Smith (Madeline) and Cameron Chottiner; his great-grandchildren, Noah and Chloe Fields; and four nieces and one nephew.

A private entombment will be held at the Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ.
