Giovanna Maria Schwartz, "Joann", age 76, of Wilmington, DE passed away on April 29, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mary (DiGiovanni) and Serafino Camilotti. Joann worked at a print shop in her younger years and went on to work in customer service for LabCorp until her retirement. Joann was a great cook and fantastic baker. Her love language was food and she enjoyed cooking for all of her loved ones. She also loved soap operas and old movies such as Gone with the Wind .

Joann was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Elaine Deeney. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Steven L. Schwartz; her son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Elizabeth Schwartz; her sister-in-law, Rena Ruben; and her nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday May 6 ^th from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. with a memorial service beginning at 12 P.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016.
