George E. Evans, age 88 of Glen Mills, PA formerly of Wilmington, DE passed away on February 25, 2022 at his home.

Born in Phoenix Park, PA he was the son of the late Emily M. Eckenrode and Charles E. (Evans). He served his country proudly in the Korean War in the United States Navy. George went on to work for 26 years in computer programming and drafting for DuPont prior to his retirement. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

George is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sandra R. Evans; his sons and their spouses, John D. and Barbara Evans of Newark, DE and Stephen A. and Wendi Evans of Olney, MD; his grandchildren, Kyle, Matthew, Lexi, Amanda; and a host of extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday March 5 ^th , 2022 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1502 W. 13 ^th Street, Wilmington, DE 19806. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Westminster Presbyterian Church, at the above address.
