George Howard Baer, age 67, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022.

George was born in Ridley Park, PA, son of the late Nancy Elizabeth (Lewis) and George Lee Baer. George acquired many degrees but most notably, master's degrees in both Business Administration (Drexel) and Psychology (California State). He spent his four decade career serving vulnerable populations, in executive director roles and as CEO/owner of behavioral health agencies he established and ran until his retirement in 2021. In his free time, George enjoyed playing acoustic guitar and piano, taking long motorcycle rides, sailing the Chesapeake, holding cerebral conversations, and engaging in witty banter. He was also quite the esteemed polymath and avid logophile.

George is survived by his daughter, Melissa Baer-Stover; sons, Chad and Jason Baer; grandchildren, Benjamin Stover, Alexander Baer, Nathan Baer, and Hannah Baer; sisters, Amy Baer and Becky (Baer) Diamond; former wife and mother of his children, Loretta Creaney; and numerous close family friends whom he all loved.

A Memorial will be held in the Spring of 2023 to celebrate his life with friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in George's name St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital-a cause he contributed to for many years, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
