Age 73, of Landenberg, Pa, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015, in the Seasons Hospice Center in Christiana, DE, after an extended vigil by his family. Frank was born in York, PA on July 3, 1941. He was the son of Mary Watson (D) and Franklin S Eyster (D), and the brother of Jane Hagerstrom. He graduated from York Country Day School in 1959; from Williams College in 1963; and received his law degree from the The University of Pennsylvania, School of Law in 1968. He was a member of the bar in the state of Delaware and the District of Columbia. In 1968, Frank moved to Wilmington, Delaware, where he accepted a position with the law firm, Richards, Layton, and Finger. There he concentrated in business law and corporate litigation. In 1974 Frank was hired by Atlantic Aviation as their General Counsel, where he served for 25 years. While at Atlantic Frank's role was extensive and he wore many hats. In addition to his position as General Counsel, he served as Senior Vice President, Director of Human Relations and Directed the Risk Management Team. During his time at Atlantic, and in part, due to his adept leaderships skills, the company grew markedly. He was well-liked and respected by all for his ability to acknowledge the importance of everyone and treat all with respect. Frank served in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He also spent several years on the board of the Delaware SPCA. Upon his retirement, Frank and, his wife, Carol moved to Landenberg, Pa. where Frank has enjoyed bird watching, and the Eyster family tradition of growing orchids. Frank was a lifelong student of American and Classical history. Frank and Carol had three Welsh Corgis who were a big part of their lives, a joy they both shared and with whom Frank enjoyed exploring nature. He had various simple passions but was very proud of his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. When Frank was 10 years old he spent the first of many summers at Camp Keeywadin on Lake Dunmore, Vt. Because of the skills and memories Frank took from those years, Keewaydin and a love of the outdoors became great passions of his, which he shared with his children and friends. He spent many years on the Keewaydin board and, like his dad, Beau went to Keewaydin and shares Frank's passion for it. Frank is Survived by his loving wife, Carol of 25 years, his two children and their spouses: Kendra and Christian Woolley and their sons Henry and Greyson; and Beau and Leslie Eyster and their daughter Abigail; and by Jane and Eric Hagerstrom, Frank's sister and her husband. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Jean K. Senn; sisters-in-law and their husbands: Sharon and Robert Borkowski, and Elaine and Mark Garcia, M.D.; brother-in-law and his wife: Stephen and Betsy Senn; nephews and nieces: Robert and (wife) Melissa Borkowski, Brian Borkowski, Julianna Garcia, Olivia Garcia and Stephen Senn Jr.; and great-niece, Emmerson Borkowski. Frank's friends and family will miss his kind and loving nature, his wise judgement, and his quick wit. In lieu of flowers, Carol Eyster has asked that contributions go to the Seasons Hospice Foundation, 220 Continental Dr., Ste. 101, Newark, DE 19713. Services will be held at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE on Saturday, April 25th at 10-12 visitation with funeral services beginning at 12 noon.
