Age 83, of New Castle, DE, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 12, 2015.Born in Wilmington, DE, Fran was the daughter of the late Clarence and Winifred (Moran) Blair. Her memberships included St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, Howard Weston Senior Center, and the "Red Hot Mommas" of Red Hat Society. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and Sudoku. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert James Smith in 1995, and her brother, Millard Davis.Fran will be dearly missed by her son, Brian J. Smith, Sr. and his wife, Bonnie; and her beloved grandchildren, Brian Jr., Erin and Sean Smith.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 2 pm at the chapel at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle where friends are invited to visitation after 1 pm. Interment will be private.The family suggests donations in Fran's memory to the Howard J.
