Frances W. Curran, age 74, of Wilmington, DE passed away at home surrounded by her family on January 4 ^th , 2022.

Born in Plainfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Winifred H. (Olson) and Francis O. Manning. She attended Wilmington High School, but left during her senior year to marry her husband of  57 years, Edward Curran. Frances later attended the James H. Groves School and completed her diploma as salutatorian of 1987, an accomplishment she was very proud of. Frances went on to work at TSI in Accounts Payable and could be found listening to 50s music in the CEOs office in her downtime. Aside from work, Frances was an amateur artist and learned how to play the guitar in her 70s, starting with a ukulele and working her way up to a guitar her sister bought her. She was very involved in all of her grandchildren's activities she followed all of their different sporting events including  traveling the country following her eldest grandchild, Daniel's, baseball career from childhood through college. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her son, Edward F. Curran, Jr.; her sister, Ruth Madamba; and her brothers-in-law, John "Jack" Curran and James T. Curran.

Frances is survived by her loving husband Edward F. Curran; her daughters, Christine Schafferman (Daniel) and Cathleen Barrett (Aaron Fletcher); her grandchildren, Daniel Jr. and Christian Schafferman, and Alexander and Carly Barrett; her sister, Janet Curran; her brother, Danny Manning (Gail); and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Monday January 10 ^th , 2022 from 5-7 P.M. with funeral services beginning at 7 P.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be held on Tuesday January 11 ^th , 2022 at 10 A.M. at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to an organization that Frances was passionate about, Attack Addiction, P.O. Box 36, Bear, DE 19701.
