Faith L. Mathis, age 92 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on July 20th, 2025. Born in the 1930s in Chicago, IL, Faith was raised by Florence and Albert Lemke. She graduated from Southshore High School and was a dedicated homemaker for her husband and three sons after settling in Wilmington, Delaware. Faith's greatest joy was spending time with her large family, including her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Faith is survived by her sons, Jeffrey W. Mathis and Scott R. Mathis and his fiancé, Linda Papili; her daughter-in-law, Kim Mathis; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Faith was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Harry R. Mathis, Jr.; her son, Steven B. Mathis; her daughter-in-law, Margaret Mathis and her brother, Wayne Lemke.

A visitation will be held on Saturday August 2nd from 4 P.M. to 5 P.M. with funeral services to begin at 5 P.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be held privately in Lake Forest, IL.
