Eugene Edward Macerato, "Gene", age 88, of Landenberg, PA passed away at his home on January 20, 2023.

Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Angelina and Armond Macerato. Gene served his country in the United States Army and worked as a salesman in home improvements until his retirement. He always kept himself busy with his love of sports, trains, and fishing. Gene was happiest when surrounded by his large family and above all, loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Gene was predeceased by his sons, Paul and Matthew Macerato.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jayne Macerato; his children and their spouses, Jessie Macerato, Gina Macerato, Melissa Macerato Pontones and Manuel Pontones, Miranda and Ernie Tonielli, and Geno Macerato; his daughter-in-law, Lenore Macerato; his grandchildren, Jimmy and Victoria Uhl, Justin Uhl, Paul Macerato, Taylor and Estven Fernandez, Zach Macerato, Joey Tonielli, Nick Macerato, Dominick, Tonielli, Anthony Macerato, Andrew Macerato, Damon Pontones, Matthew Macerato, and Mia Pontones; his great granddaughter, Madison Uhl; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday January 25th at 11 A.M. at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother, 8910 Gap Newport Pike, Avondale, PA 19311. Burial will be held privately. Online condolences may be made to mealeyfuneralhomes.com
